A Science-Backed Approach That

Changes Lives in Lombard, IL

A woman sitting at a wooden desk with her head resting in her hands, looking at a laptop screen, in a modern office with a brick wall and shelves in the background.

After trying therapy and meds for years, you still feel stuck.

You’re not just losing interest in the things you used to enjoy – you're starting to wonder if life will ever get better.

We’re here to serve the Lombard and nearby communities of Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Downers Grove, and beyond with real support that’s rooted in science.

“I don’t want to *guess* what's going on with your brain – I want to know exactly what’s happening. That’s why we watch your brain in real time, find the areas that aren’t working right, and then train them to function properly (so your symptoms can improve or disappear entirely)."

When It Seems No One Has the Answer – That’s When You Find Us.

You’re tired of hearing, “Have you tried this?”

Tired of being unmotivated and cycling through medications that leave you feeling just as stuck.

Tired of wondering if the words you’re speaking – are even resonating with your therapist.

Because you’re trapped in a brain and body that don’t feel like you anymore.

You’re so foggy, you can’t focus (which makes learning and relationships hard).

You’re always moody, and your family walks on eggshells – so you isolate yourself.

Maybe you’ve had a concussion that no one took seriously.

And you’ve asked for help. You’ve followed the advice.

But nothing has brought the lasting change you need.

That’s why we do things differently.

Because thousands of studies tell us that the way you feel – has everything to do with your brainwave patterns.

And let’s face it, it’s the one thing you haven’t tried.

When we retrain your brain with our science-backed, decades-old method…

We help your brain unlearn the patterns keeping you stuck (and symptoms start to fade away).

…or disappear altogether.

And you can recognize yourself again (maybe for the first time in years).

A.D. says…

“It was amazing to answer the phone from school and instead of a bad behavior report, the teacher shared that my son was able to shift between classes and tasks without losing it. Most of those calls were always hard, but this was one of the noticeable changes and praise!”

“In 38 years of practice, I have never seen any treatment that has been able to produce the results that neurofeedback has achieved [in ADHD]. I have seen results achieved in days or weeks that previously took months or years using the best techniques available.”

Because Thousands of Studies Prove Retraining Your Brain Heals Symptoms.

All-day rumination. Feeling like you're stuck in fight-or-flight (no matter what you do).

Depression, anxiety, and brain fog that never seem to go away.

What you might not know: Your symptoms aren’t always the outcome of life’s hard circumstances.

And even if they are, science tells us that they’re often tied to how your brainwaves are firing.

Neurofeedback uses real-time brainwave monitoring to guide your brain toward healthier patterns.

As you watch a screen or listen to sounds, the technology helps quiet the patterns keeping you stuck.

And the best part?

It doesn’t require you to do anything at all.

…except start feeling more like yourself in as few as seven sessions.

Michael D. says…

“I have become a firm believer in neurofeedback. It has truly saved my life. This clinic is full of wonderful professionals who really want to help.”

Before We Heal, We Listen – to Your Brain.

An older man wearing glasses, a black headband, and a white shirt is sitting comfortably in an armchair, using a tablet. He has a hearing aid and is listening to something with earphones, smiling softly. There is a tall green plant in the background.

We start with a QEEG brain map – a painless, non-invasive scan that shows your brainwave activity in real-time.

With a few small sensors on your scalp, we can see where your brain might be overactive, underactive, or just out of sync.

…the same patterns that often cause anxiety, brain fog, sleep issues, or emotional overwhelm.

Once we have real-time data of your brainwaves, we walk through the results with you and create a personalized plan to retrain your brain.

And for the first time in a while, our clients don’t just feel validated – they feel like there’s an answer (because there is).

From Chaos to Calm With Neurofeedback: How We Get There

Your mental and physical symptoms often stem from dysregulated brainwave patterns (making your life more difficult)

Twice a week, while you sit in a comfy chair, we attach a few electrodes to your scalp (and you watch a TV screen or listen to sounds)

Therapy Helps You Understand. Neurofeedback Can Change Your Life.

Three people holding hands on a table, displaying unity and support.

You might leave therapy feeling seen and (a little) lighter. But a day or two later, you’re right back where you started.

It’s not because therapy isn’t working. It’s because your brain is stuck in its same, comfortable pattern.

When your nervous system is always on high alert, it’s hard to fully absorb the relief that talk therapy offers.

That’s where brain retraining with neurofeedback comes in.

By helping your brain shift out of fight-or-flight and into a calmer state, neurofeedback makes it easier to process emotions, reframe thoughts, and actually feel the change you’re working on in therapy.

Together, they don’t just help you cope – they help you heal.

FAQ: Neurofeedback & Talk Therapy Near Lombard, IL

  • Most people benefit from 20 to 40 sessions, depending on their goals and what they’re working through. Some see progress sooner, while others may need more time – especially if symptoms have been around for a while.

To get the best results, we usually recommend coming two times per week. This consistency helps your brain learn (and hold on to) the new patterns more effectively.

Don’t worry – we’ll create a plan that fits your schedule and your needs.

  • Everyone’s brain is different, so the timeline can vary – but many people start to notice subtle shifts within the first few sessions. You might feel a little calmer, sleep better, or find it easier to focus. For others, it can take a bit longer (usually after 8 to 10 sessions).

The changes you experience with neurofeedback are designed to last, because you’re training your brain – not just masking symptoms. Think of it like building a muscle: the more consistent the training, the stronger and more lasting the results.

  • Yes, it’s non-invasive and safe. It’s not painful, and lasting negative effects are extremely rare. Temporary side effects could include fatigue, headaches, or mild sleep disturbances – but again, these happen very rarely.

  • Neurofeedback is generally a non-invasive and gentle therapy, and most clients find it relaxing – even calming or meditative.

In many of our sessions, we use traditional neurofeedback, which doesn’t involve any electricity entering the brain. It simply reads brain activity using small sensors placed on the scalp, similar to how a heart monitor tracks your heartbeat.

However, we also offer advanced approaches like neurostimulation and microcurrent neurofeedback (such as LENS, Neurofield, and tDCS). These methods do involve very low levels of electrical current delivered to the brain, but they are safe, carefully administered, and well-tolerated by most clients.

Your comfort and safety are always our top priority, and we’ll walk you through every step to ensure you feel confident in your treatment plan.

  • No. It helps calm the brain, bring more focus and clarity, and support mindful responses. You're still you – just more grounded and resilient.

  • Absolutely. Neurofeedback is drug-free and can complement your existing treatment plan. Many clients can even reduce their medication over time with their practitioner’s guidance.

*We highly recommend that clients incorporate both neurofeedback and talk therapy together (this produces the best results).

  • This depends on your immediate needs. If you already know you’d like to incorporate neurofeedback into your treatment plan, we map your brain (with our non-invasive qEEG technology). Based on what we find, we come up with a personalized training plan unique to your specific brain pattern.

If you’d like to start with talk therapy, getting to know you is what we focus on first – what brought you in, what life’s been like, and what you’d like to work toward. Then we dive into what you’re struggling with day-to-day, whether that’s anxiety, relationship issues, or trauma that still feels unresolved. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan using approaches like CBT or EMDR to help you move forward.

*Talk therapy sessions last an hour, while neurofeedback therapy sessions generally last around 45 minutes (we recommend infusing the two therapies together for best results).

  • “I finally was able to wean off my meds and fixed my anxiety issue…which is HUGE.”

“I feel like a new person…huge difference in mood, anxiety, rumination and depression.”

“I haven’t had a single panic attack. I don’t look at things as threatening.”

“It helped me be able to complete trauma therapy… started with neurofeedback and it calmed me down enough to do EMDR.”

“Truly life changing…within 10-ish sessions it really made big changes to my anxiety/stress.”

“I feel more like myself than I can ever remember…incredibly clear and calm.”

“You saved my life…I’m starting to actually live again.”

“I hardly notice my anxiety. No more mood swings, I sleep much better…”

  • Insurance coverage varies. It’s sometimes covered for conditions like ADHD, TBI, or PTSD – but often, reimbursement is on a case-by-case basis. We’re happy to provide documentation for HSA/FSA claims or help guide you through claims submissions.

  • Our session costs can vary depending on the specific treatment plan, but we strive to keep things affordable.

We offer package discounts to make neurofeedback more accessible. Your well-being is our priority, and we want to make sure you can get the care you need without added stress.

Feel free to reach out – we want to discuss options and help you find what works best for you.
